# Software Factory Concept

Information

Own the whole factory: Production-Grade ships it as a starter kit with white-label rights and source ownership.

Foundry runs like a **software factory** or Replit-like environment.

## You Provide

- **Code boilerplates**: initial project structure, existing codebase, or starter templates in `sandbox/

/`

- **Tasks**: explicit task definitions with acceptance criteria (what must be built)

- **Goal**: high-level project objective (what the project should achieve)

## Foundry Does

- Executes tasks sequentially in the sandbox

- Builds on existing code and boilerplates

- Validates each task's completion (deterministic + helper agent when needed)

- Maintains persistent state across sessions

- Continues until the goal is achieved or tasks are exhausted

## The Orchestration Lifecycle

- **Provision:** Foundry spins up a clean, isolated context (Sandbox) for a specific task.

- **Dispatch:** It routes the task to the most suitable "Worker Node" (e.g., Gemini for reasoning, Cursor for editing).

- **Monitor:** It watches the execution in real-time, enforcing constraints (time, scope, file access).

- **Validate & Persist:** It runs deterministic checks (tests, AST) and commits the state only when criteria are met.

**Rule:** The operator injects goals and tasks; Foundry never invents or expands scope.
